A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin

I've never read the stories of chivalry and the famous gloomy Middle Ages. I have never felt any attraction to the genre, thinking that it was boring and more for the male audience. But let me tell you, I was so wrong! When I got this book for the Christmas, I decided it was time to try out something new, something that is not in my comfort zone. I'm very glad! This was one crazy adventure, roller coaster of emotions.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a book that includes three novellas covering the story of two heroes 100 years before the events in the series Game of Thrones. The story follows the Egg, and Dunk and their journey through the amazing world of George R.R. Martin. Like all of Martin's books, this one was cruel and harsh, but at the same time beautiful. An incredible relationship and friendship between the two main characters and their concern for each other, was beautiful. It showed me that it  not all dark in this gloomy world, where it is difficult to live.

Of course, as always, the world was beautifully developed and explained. These three short stories gave me more insight into what is the real knight and why they choose that way of life. How to deal with adversity, obstacles on the way? Is it better to have someone with you? Is it worth abandoning your principles and all your friends in order to preserve your own life? These are just some of the questions that you will get the answer by reading this book.

All in all, the book is beautiful. I really recommend it to everyone, because it is full of emotion and incredibly real even though it takes place in the fictional world. Anyone can find something that will suit him.

Rating: 5/5*

Vitez sedam kraljevstva- Džordž R:R: Martin

Nikada pre nisam čitala priče o viteštvu i tom famoznom tmurnom srednjem veku.

Priča prati Ega i Danka i njihova putovanja kroz neverovatan svet Džordž R.R. Martina.

Dusted dreams by Peter Koevari

***I've received free eBook copy in exchange for an honest review***
This story is part of Endless Worlds Anthology, bind-up of fantasy, sci-fi and horror short stories from many different authors.
This short story follows man Hamid who is one of members of military program which has a mission to develop Earth Defense and install server station on Mars. He and his crew are planing to go to Mars and save humanity, but things never go as planned.
I didn't like this story as much as i was hoping to. It didn't feel complete to me. Not much happened and things that happened were not much explained. That's probably because this is short story and i haven't read any before, but i just feel like this was not my cup of tea.
But there were some things that i liked. The relation ship between Hamid and his family at that one scene was beautiful and heartbreaking. I also liked Hamid, Robin and Wendy, in some scene they were hilarious. And technology was pretty good too, but it wasn't explained as much as i would like it.
In the end i just have to say that this sci-fi short story was ok, but it could be so much more if it was longer and more explained. I would still recommend it if you like sci-fi, maybe you would enjoy this one.
I will give it 2.5/5 stars
